Our Security Supervisor oversees day to day security operations, ensuring consistent execution of safety protocols, patrol activities, and incident response.
The Security Supervisor also provides hands on leadership and direction to Security Officers, ensuring coverage, quality of work, and adherence to policies and procedures. This role balances operational supervision, incident management, and guest interaction, maintaining a calm and professional presence across the property. Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee daily security operations, including patrols, monitoring, and incident response, ensuring a safe and secure environment throughout the property.
- Conduct and review property patrols to identify and address safety, security, or operational risks.
- Provide direction, support, and guidance to Security Officers during assigned shifts to ensure consistent execution of duties.
- Assign posts, schedules, and special assignments to maintain proper coverage and operational efficiency.
- Conduct shift briefings and support training of team members to reinforce procedures and expectations.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and guest concerns, ensuring appropriate action, escalation, and follow up.
- Oversee and participate in investigations of incidents, accidents, and suspicious activity.
- Review incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Monitor access to the property, including key control, visitor access, and restricted areas.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of keys, lost and found items, and security equipment.
- Support emergency response efforts, including coordination with first responders and administration of first aid as needed.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance to guests and team members, maintaining a service focused approach to security.
- Identify and report safety hazards, equipment issues, or operational risks to leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality of all security related matters.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork within the department.

To fulfill this role efficiently, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- 3+ Years of Related Experience
- 1+ Year of Supervisory Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid State of Hawaii Guard Card
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification
- Ability to lead and support a team in a fast paced, guest-facing environment.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills in both routine and emergency situations.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed under pressure.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
- Ability to resolve conflict and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Ability to organize tasks, assign priorities, and manage shift operations.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and communication.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold security standards.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- 5+ Years of Related Experience
- 2+ Years of Supervisory or Managerial Experience
- Associate’s degree or college degree
- Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in security operations.
- Experience in a resort, hospitality, or luxury environment.
