The Common Area Attendant ensures all public/common areas, lobbies, and offices throughout the property are cleaned and maintained in compliance with all brand standards. Provides excellence in service for guests and owners while on property, running guest calls, responding to guest inquiries and needs. Commitment and dedication to our Inspired Hospitality culture is expected to be displayed towards guests and team members.
What Will I Be Doing:
- Ensure that resort public areas (Lobby/Restrooms/Recreation Spaces) are cleaned daily. Cleanliness in all areas includes floors, surfaces and common spaces.
- Perform general cleaning duties to include dusting, sweeping, mop floors, vacuums, removal of all trash and heavy cleaning of all assigned public areas, corridors, landings, walkways, stairwells, railings, trash rooms, restrooms and some offices.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Lobby (ensure all glass doors are clean and spotless).
- Maintain and perform deep cleaning of public restrooms in lobby, recreation and office buildings (stalls, shower, sauna, sinks, mirror, floors etc.) and proper stock level of supplies in restrooms.
- Delivers guest amenities, supplies, linens, terry, etc. as requested by guests. Completes deliveries/requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure all items delivered to the guest rooms are clean and in working order.
- Checks storerooms for availability of cribs, highchairs, pack & play, and bed rails and ensure they are in safe condition.
- Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations.
- Follows key control protocol.
- Ensures all assets and supplies for the department are secured in a neat and orderly fashion in storage areas.
- Promptly turns in all lost and found items after being properly tagged and identified.
- Greets guests and respond to requests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement. Be knowledgeable of resort services, activities, and local attractions to assist guests’ inquiries.
- Provide customer service to guests, including providing information about resort services, activities and local attractions
- Reports maintenance deficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist co-workers as requested.

We believe that at the core of our company’s success are our Team Members! To fulfill this role optimally, you have the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Able to work with a flexible work schedule including night, weekends and holidays
- Able to lift to 75lbs, and push/pull carts of 150lbs.
- Physically able to work from ladders, move furniture, operate cleaning equipment, and tolerate exposure to general cleaning chemicals
- Ability to tolerate environmental factors such as humidity, cold/heat, dust and noise.
- Basic language communication skills in order to communicate both verbally and in writing with guests, owners, and co-workers, and fully comprehend job assignments
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Previous experience in housekeeping
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Prior experience in hospitality
