Barista – Full time

Currently seeking team members who are passionate about building lasting vacation memories for owners/guests visiting our resort properties! You are someone who is service orientated, courteous, good with people with strong foods safety knowledge.

Location: Eilan Hotel & Spa in San Antonio, TX

Schedule: Various shifts between 6:30 AM – 8:30 PM, to include weekends and holidays as operation needs dictate

What you will be doing?

As a Barista you would be responsible for executing your position’s responsibilities in alignment with our Spirit of Service culture and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Provides quality beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Performs cashier functions ringing up purchased items. Ensures accuracy in balancing cash, credit card, and room charge transactions. Maintains cash drawer and cash stabilizing at end of shift according to established departmental procedures.
• Maintains condiment bar, coffee cadence, and stock levels in production areas. Including stock levels and cleanliness for cups, sleeves, ice, espresso beans, and brewed coffee.
• Maintains café’s cleanliness by maintaining a clean and organized workspace so that staff can locate resources and products as needed and emptying any necessary garbage.
• Ensures all food items are stored accurately according to health standards. Delivers room service orders in a timely manner.

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role efficiently, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

• 6+ months previous Food & Beverage experience, ideally in a simliar environment
• Must have previous cash handling/credit card transactions experience
• Previous barista work experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operation needs
• Prior knowledge of a generic POS system
