This is an exciting opportunity for holistic growth in finance accounting career by primarily handling real estate, resort, tax, month end accounting operations and also back up payroll payments and reconciliations.
The position will also be responsible for processing entries, allocations, reconciliations, funding Journal entry preparation etc., payroll transaction support & reconciliations, reporting, adherence to the company policy and month end controls. The role will need to deliver accurate financial process for responsible areas.
The role will be needing to maintain relationship with the sales, marketing and shared service business partners, which will include the collaborative development and refinement of value-add and timely reporting of information critical to the business.
Primary responsibilities of this position include:
• Understanding of ledger system, intercompany and reporting
• Must possess as strong understanding of payment/banking infrastructure in Japan and system
• Ability to review, consult externally and clarify on accuracy of payroll calculations and monthly payments
• Responsible for compliance and controls
• Work with peers in various department to maximize efficiency and effectiveness through collaborative processes and open communication.
• Drive system implementations and updates leading to efficiency.
• Communicate with regional and HQ teams to drive decisions and requirements.
• Perform special projects as needed
• Other job duties as assigned or due to changes in business/organization
Required Qualification:
• Good working knowledge of a large ERP system
• Knowledge of Japan payroll regulations.
• Experience of accounting and reconciliation for payroll transactions.
• Proficient excel skills
• Excellent Japanese communication skills
• English communication
• Self-motivated, self-starter, and detail oriented
